Ginisang Monggo Guisado

1.  1/4 cups monggo beans
2.  3 cups water
3.  2 tbsp oil
4.  1 small onion, chopped
5.  2 gloves garlic,chopped
6.  1 small tomato,chopped
7.  1 cup small prawns,peeled,head discarded
8.  1 piece shrimp cubes
9.  Salt and pepper to taste
10. 1 small ampalaya sliced
11. Dahon ng ampalaya
12. 1/4 pork  diced or chicharon as alternative
Cooking Instruction:
A.Soak monggo beans in about 2 cups of water for 4 hours.
B.Simmer monggo beans until tender add water if needed most of the water has been absorbed about 30 minutes then set aside.
C.Heat oil in a casserole saute onion,garlic and tomato.Add diced pork saute until turn brown.
D.Stir in monggo beans bring to boil simmer over medium heat put the shrimp cubes
E.Add prawns and cook until turn orange in color around 2 to 3 minutes then followed by ampalaya leaves and ampalaya do not over cooked the vegetable.
F.Season with salt and pepper.Serve with rice.


  1. sarap naman nito, daming sahog ,bongga.

  2. panalo sa dami ng sahog hehe, i seldom cook ginisang monggo because of arthritis ahaha
