Ingredients:
1 cup monggo
1/4 kilo pork,cut into cubes
6 cups water
1 small onion chopped
1 head garlic,minced
1 piece tomato,sliced
1 pc.knorr pork cubes
1/4 shredded tinapa
dahon ng ampalaya
Procedure:
Rinse monggo,boil in 6 cups of water on medium heat for about 30 minutes.Remove the beans and set aside.
In a casserole add oil saute the garlic,tomato,onion then add pork fried.Add the monggo beans and the knorr cubes along with the shredded tinapa let it simmer .Then put dahon ng ampalaya cover and let it boil for 3 minutes stir to avoid scorching.Serve with rice.
When I was young I used to hate monggo. I'll try this. Haven't eaten it for a long time.

ReplyDeleteI so love Ginisang Munggo with tinapa flakes. It reminds me of the old times, back when I was growing up (in the 80's) when my Lola used to cook it every Friday. It's something I kept looking forward to.

ReplyDeleteWow,touch naman po ako dami nyo nag comment madami po talagang pwede isahog sa monggo minsan chicharon din alternative ko instead fried pork.Mahilig po kasi talaga akong magluto pero filipino food lang ang alam ko at yun madali lang din prepare at affordable sempre.Thanks po.
